The TiAL MV-S-A Wastegate 38mm Wastegate unit is designed specifically for motorsport applications that can’t utilize the water cooling ports on the standard MV-S wastegate. The MV-S-A or “Long Neck” has the standard 38mm valve but also has five heat fins that separate the casting from the actuator top. Born into the world of Motorsports, this wastegate can handle the harshest of conditions and give 100% performance, 100% of the time. It is the choice wastegate of many WRC teams.
With 2 upper and 3 lower air ports you won’t even have to rotate the actuator to get to the air lines. Simply use the most convenient ports and block the others off with included port plugs. Valve and lower housing are constructed from high temperature alloys for their unique combination of high corrosion, wear and galling resistance properties. Valve stem has a wear coating that is resistant to the corrosive effects of lead oxide. Actuator housing is CNC machined from lightweight billet aluminum which is available color anodized for a unique appearance.
The MV-S-A utilizes V-Band connections and includes both inlet and outlet mating flanges and clamps. The stainless steel flanges feature chamfered edges and are counterbored to make welding simpler. Each wastegate also includes all MV-S-A actuator springs.
The MV series TiAL wastegates also have integrated -4 AN water cooling ports that cycle a small amount of coolant through the actuator top to keep the temperatures down in extreme conditions. This feature is not required for typical street car applications but is a great addition for several scenarios, such as: road racing, low air flow in engine bay, actuator too close to exhaust components, rotary applications, etc. This feature uses little coolant so there is virtually no affect on the rest of the cooling system. Fittings are leak tested after installation from the factory and can be removed if not utilized.
